Join us at Lockeland Springs as we host Barefoot Republic’s Day Camp for rising kindergarteners through sixth graders! Throughout the week, campers will listen to guest speakers and worship together, as well as take part in a variety of athletic, artistic, and outdoor adventure activities.
We want children to value coming to church! Each Sunday, your children can gather with others in their age group for Bible lessons and fun activities. Learn more about what to expect on a Sunday morning below.
Elementary children (kindergarten–grade 5) attend their own age-appropriate groups while parents are in adult LIFE groups. Teachers prepare for the sessions using a curriculum called The Gospel Project from LifeWay Christian Resources. Children participate in learning activities based on a central big picture question that corresponds to a Bible verse and Bible story. Class is concluded by a journal activity where the children are invited to write and discuss what they learned about Jesus and how they can be in prayer during the week.
Check-in stations are conveniently situated immediately as you walk into our courtyard entrance. From there, one of our Children’s ministry workers will assist you in safely checking in your child.
We value the protection of your child. That’s why we hired MinistrySafe in 2021 to reinforce and enhance our policies and procedures regarding abuse. We thoroughly vet our staff and volunteers, as well as require background checks and child abuse prevention trainings. Through our Code of Conduct, leaders commit to live by God’s Word and follow His standards for holiness, living above reproach in their actions and attitudes.
For all emergencies, our teams are equipped with detailed plans for weather-related events (such as fires or tornados), power outages, and active intruders.
